James "Rick" Covington 


 Rick founded JRC Mechanical in 1990 after 15 years in the industry. He oversees JRC Mechanical's Estimating Department.

Tristen joined JRC Mechanical in May 2006 as an Assistant Project Manager. Growing to Project Manager and now the Executive Vice President. He received his education from Virginia Military Institute and Pfeiffer University while earning a Bachelor Degree in Finance.


 Brett Keller

 Vice President of PreConstruction

Brett is heavily involved in all business activities of the company.  As a Vice President, he specifically manages the quality of all services delivered to the clients of JRC Mechanical throughout the entire duration of the project.  Brett selects reviews and oversees the mechanical and plumbing projects from the various stages of preconstruction.  This continued hands-on approach ensures quality management from conception, to award, to completion; resulting in complete satisfaction of the customer. Brett is a graduate from Wayne State University, Detroit Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Brett has an extensive background in the construction industry and has been involved as an executive for many years in a wide variety of projects which range from commercial, residential, hospital, laboratory, plan & specification, design-assist and design-build. 


 Nathan Berryman

 Vice President of Operations

Nathan Berryman serves as Vice President of Operations, a position he assumed in 2014. Nathan oversees all projects to ensure complete satisfaction with our customers. Nathan is hands on with all of JRC's projects to ensure all projects run smoothly and maintain all schedules. His background includes projects which range from hospitals, universities, high rise buildings, schools, laboratories, Design-build, plan & specification, NAVFAC and U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. Notable projects include; CNU Science Building & Chiller Plant Expansion, Riverside Central Utility Plant, Wells Fargo Building in Downtown Norfolk, Renaissance Academy, SOF Cafeteria and P-197 Steam Decentralization Project. 


 Susan Hedges

 Office Manager


Susan joined JRC Mechanical as an Administrative Assistant in August 1999. She was promoted to Office Manager in 2006 and handles all Accounts Receivable and Payroll. She has continued her education through the years and is presently pursuing her education in Accounting.

Director of Field Operations

Gene Arrington                                                                                                                            

Project Engineer                              


Gene joined the JRC team in 1996 as a job foreman. After demonstrating a skill for looking ahead and solving problems before they became problems, he moved into the office as a project engineer.  Responsible for plan review and coordination of field related questions.
